Welcome
The University of Chichester Students’ Union is run by students for students and is here to make sure you have a good student experience. People think students’ unions are just about bars and cheap pints, but we are so much more.
The SU’s core functions are to provide you with representation, campaigns and support so that you have a good time studying at the University of Chichester. If there is something that you are not happy about and want to change then why not come and talk to us and we will try to help you make a difference. The officers and the staff of the Students’ Union are constantly in discussions with and putting pressure on the University so that changes happen.
Just this year the Students’ Union has. . . .
- Been working on the intercampus bus which has led to the proposed £1 charge being cut to 50p
- Reinstated the night bus
- Started volunteering projects in the community that are improving the lives of many
- Trained over 70 of your Course Reps
- Raised awareness of Green issues
- Helped the University achieve Fairtrade status
- Campaigned on student funding
- Got a microwave for Dance/Performing Arts students so they can eat when practicing late
- Amongst much much more
As well as working towards. . .
- An alcohol free social space
- Lighting and security issues in and around both campuses
- Engaging more international students
- A new Union constitution
- Improving your Academic Experience
If you want to get involved and make a difference then why not contact Casper (Union President) on supresident@chi.ac.uk
